Dunmail Raise is the name of a large cairn in the English Lake District and has given its name to the mountain pass of Dunmail Raise, on which it stands. It is part of the only low-level route through the mountains between the northern and southern sides of the Lake District.
Following storm Desmond in December of 2015 the client had a requirement to build a temporary road to connect Keswick and Grasmere which had been cut off due to the A591 carriageway failure.
