The project aimed to create a brighter, friendly space linking both vehicle and pedestrian routes to the Leisure Centre on Griffin Street to the town centre. Keeping the existing tunnel structure but new lighting, road system, pavements and mural art will be introduced to provide an improved and safer experience for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. Lydia Leith designed the mural as part of a Public Space & Regeneration Project.
